Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Data Modeller (Databricks/ Python). This position involves supporting large-scale data initiatives within a data-driven equity markets environment, focusing on building scalable and efficient data structures for analytics and reporting across enterprise platforms. Responsibilities Design and develop Silver Layer tables and views to support analytics and reporting needs Build scalable data models supporting batch processing and future real-time use cases Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and technology teams to gather requirements and define data structures Perform data profiling, exploration, and analysis leveraging SQL and Python/PySpark Define data relationships, formats, and standards to enhance data consistency and usability Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights Optimize datasets for BI tools such as Power BI and real-time analytics platforms Support data ingestion initiatives by ensuring high-quality, reusable datasets for downstream applications Work within an Azure Databricks environment to support historical and real-time analytics Desired Skill-Set 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data modelling, or business intelligence roles Proven hands-on relational data modelling experience, including designing table structures, relationships, and schemas Advanced proficiency in SQL Intermediate experience with Python, including PySpark for data profiling and exploration Strong ability to translate business needs into effective technical data solutions Deep understanding of data quality, profiling, and optimisation techniques Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Physics, Business) Nice to Have Experience within Capital Markets or Equity Markets Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks platform Experience supporting real-time data platforms Familiarity with data modelling tools such as Erwin, Visio, or similar Knowledge of Power BI or other analytics visualization solutions BeachHead is an equal opportunity agency and employer.
