At Beslogic, we build custom software and AI solutions for organizations with complex operations. We're looking for an Intermediate Financial Controller who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and helping build the financial foundation that supports our growth. This is a hands-on role with a high level of autonomy. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, including accounting processes, payroll coordination, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. 📍 Location: This is a hybrid role based in Montreal. You'll need to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week, so we're looking for someone local to the Montreal area. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Own Financial Operations Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end activities and financial reconciliations. Process payroll and help ensure compliance with Canadian payroll and tax requirements. Prepare financial statements and maintain accurate financial records. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expenses. Support the financial operations of both our Canadian entity and selected activities for our European branch. Support Business Growth Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators. Support grant applications and other strategic financial initiatives. Provide leadership with financial insights that help drive informed decisions. Improve How We Work Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve financial processes. Help build scalable systems and workflows that grow with the business. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A systems thinker. You naturally look for ways to improve processes and build efficient, reliable workflows. Someone who takes ownership. You're comfortable managing your responsibilities independently and keeping things moving without constant direction. A detail-oriented professional. You understand that accuracy matters, especially when it comes to payroll, accounting, and financial reporting. Someone who enjoys growing with a small business. WHAT YOU BRING Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a similar role. Experience with the full accounting cycle or a strong desire to own it. Experience with payroll and a working knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax requirements. Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software or ERP systems. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software is an asset. Professional proficiency in both French and English. Based in the Montreal area and available to work from our office 2 to 3 days per week. Bonus points if you have: Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools. Experience in a technology company, SME, or high-growth environment. Experience improving financial processes or implementing automation. OUR TOOLBOX Finance: Excel, ERP systems, ADP Workforce Now Reporting: Power BI, financial reporting, KPI dashboards Collaboration: Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint

Exigences

Requires a degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping. Must be proficient in English and French and based in the Montreal area for hybrid work.
