LOCATION: Sidney, BC SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: Friday & Saturday 11:00pm - 7:00am WAGE: $22.95/ Hourly JOB OVERVIEW: You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces When you join the BEST team, you’ll enjoy: Competitive hourly pay rates that are always above the provincial minimum wage Health and Dental benefits An excellent company culture, with access to educational grants and regular team events and celebrations Employee recognition and appreciation programs, like our BEST Guusto program, which rewards employees that go above and beyond with prizes Opportunities for career advancement, on-the-job training, and upskilling within a quickly growing company DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean offices, auditoriums, classrooms, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more • Ensure proper sanitation & disinfection procedures are followed • Replenish supplies as needed • Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins • Clean all dry & wet spills throughout the facility as required • Maintain & secure storage areas, cleaning equipment & materials in an orderly manner • Report equipment repairs and stock shortages • Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs • Other duties as assigned SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Ability to use auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet cleaning equipment, & tucker pole • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System • Ability to read & understand labels & instructions • Previous custodial experience as an asset • Acceptable security and criminal record check. The cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the facility, including offices, washrooms, and common areas. Duties include mopping, sweeping, sanitizing surfaces, and managing waste disposal.

Candidates must be able to pass an RAIC clearance and a Canadian background check. Previous custodial experience is considered an asset, along with knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and equipment.
