Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chilliwack, BC, for a Journeyperson or 3rd/4th Year Construction Electrical Apprentice. As our company grows into servicing the greater lower mainland and Vancouver, opportunities for non lower mainland residents will increase. For the time being, we prefer that our employees reside within 30-40 minutes from our location in Chilliwack. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in new construction and renovation projects, including wiring, fixtures, panels, and related equipment. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, following electrical codes, performing layout and rough-in, pulling cable, terminating devices, and assisting with troubleshooting and testing systems. The successful candidate will work with the rest of our great team to meet project timelines, follow health and safety procedures, use hand and power tools appropriately, and maintain a clean and organized work area. The role also includes collaborating with supervisors and other trades, reporting progress, and supporting continuous improvement of work practices. Qualifications Registered as a Journeyperson Electrician or a 3rd/4th Year Electrical Apprentice in the construction stream, with experience on commercial or residential construction sites. Strong technical skills in installing wiring, panels, fixtures, and devices, including familiarity with rough-in, finishing, and basic troubleshooting of electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, and to follow the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant local regulations. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment, and adherence to site safety policies and procedures. Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take direction, work independently when required, and collaborate with supervisors and other trades. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity, with the ability to work on ladders, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions as required by construction sites. Young, keen and ambitious for oppoerunity growth is a bonus! Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Chilliwack, BC worksite or surrounding project locations. Completion of relevant technical or apprenticeship training; Red Seal endorsement or progression toward it is necessary.
