Our Mentoring with Math Program is designed to strengthen the impact of tutoring by adding in the element of mentorship. You’ll meet once-a-week for 90 minute sessions during afternoons over a 10 week period, and work on numeracy, activities, and games. No previous experience with math is necessary for volunteers and all training is provided by Big Brothers. This program is offered virtually and in-person. Our Math Mentors are Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals. Reliable, consistent, dedicated and respectful of others. Available to meet once weekly during weekday afternoons between 4 00pm and 5 30pm for 90-minutes for in-person sessions, or 60 minutes for virtual sessions. Our Mentoring with Math volunteers are asked to enroll in two 10 week terms as it's the best way to experience this fun group program. Our Math Mentees are Children in grades 3 to 7 who demonstrate a need for assistance in math at their grade level. From families who are not otherwise able to financially pursue academic support outside of school. Benefits Opportunities for free tickets or admission vouchers to Big Brothers matches.
