Description IMDEA Energy is opening a Predoctoral Researcher Positionfor for the Electrochemical Processes Unit, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on Innovative separation and electrochemical conversion technologies. Tasks Description The requirements are as follows: Research on innovative materials for pollutant removal and ion separation/capture. using electrochemical processes Synthesis, formulation, and electrochemical characterization of electrode materials. Use of advanced characterization and analytical techniques such as SEM, XRD, XPS, N2 Adsorption Isotherms, UV Spectrophotometry, Raman, FTIR, Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, etc. Manufacturing components for electrochemical cells, assembly and testing of electrochemical cells including using analytical techniques of the aqueous effluents. Communicate and disseminate research results through high-quality scientific channels including high impact scientific publications, presentations in conferences, etc. Supervision of Master or undergraduate studies. Requirements Compulsory Requirements: Official Master degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Environmental Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar. Bachelor degree in Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar. Specific training or hands-on experience with electrochemical technologies Other Merits To Value Specific training or hands-on experience in pollutants removal and ion separation technologies. Specific training or hands-on experience in electrochemical processes applied to wastewater/urban treatment or liquid effluents remediation. Hands-on experience with materials/electrochemical characterization and analytical techniques. Experience in writing scientific publications. Oral and written communication skills in English. Selection Criteria Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile. Work experience related to the profile of the job position. Knowledge of English. Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research. Conditions Remuneration: Between 22.000€ – 25.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise. The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
