Description IMDEA Energy is opening an FPI Predoctoral Researcher Positionfor for the Advanced Porous Materials Unit (APMU), looking for talented and motivated candidates with strong background in Biomaterials, for mainly the preparation of novel, biosafe and effective MOF nanoplatforms for combined advanced cancer therapies, within the frame of the call for proposals for "Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento" and actions for the training of predoctoral research personnel associated with these projects, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 y por el FSE+. Tasks Description The requirements are as follows: Desing and synthesis of biodegradable metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) incorporating therapeutic functionalities Full characterization of the obtained materials using a large panel of techniques. Critical analysis of the results and writing of reports. Communicate and disseminate research results through high-quality scientific channels including high impact scientific publications, presentations in conferences, etc. Supervision of Master or undergraduate studies. Requirements Compulsory Requirements: Official MSc in Biomaterials, Materials Science or equivalent (no PhD). Demonstrated experience in material synthesis of MOF nanoparticles and characterization (XRD, fluid sorption, spectroscopies, microscopies, TGA, DLS) Other Merits To Value Knowledge and experience in cell culture techniques. Knowledge and experience in oxygen carriers. Oral and written communication skills in English. Motivation to pursue the goals of the project. Selection Criteria Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile. Work experience related to the profile of the job position. Knowledge of English. Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research. Conditions Remuneration: Between 22.500€ – 25.400 per year, depending upon qualification and expertise. The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System. Contract: Predoctoral contract of a maximum duration of four years.
