Research Assistant Position to work on “MOF nanocomposites for Cancer Therapy” Offer list 26.49 MPA4 RA Application Form Deadline: Sep 13th, 2026 IMDEA Energy Institute is a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence dedicated to conducting research and development (R&D) in the fields of renewable energy and clean energy technologies, while fostering strong partnerships with leading companies in the energy sector (www.energy.imdea.org). Description IMDEA Energy is opening a Research Assistant position for the Advanced Porous Materials Unit (APMU), looking for talented and motivated candidates with strong background in Chemistry, for mainly the preparation of MOF nanocomposites for combined advanced cancer therapies, within the framework of the 2025 Call for Proposals for «Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento» and actions for the training of predoctoral research personnel associated with these projects, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033. Tasks Description The requirements are as follows: Desing and synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and MOF composites Full characterization of the obtained materials using a large panel of techniques. Critical analysis of the results and writing of reports. Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals. Requirements Compulsory Requirements: Official MSc in Chemistry, Biomaterials, Materials Science or equivalent (no PhD). Other Merits To Value Demonstrated experience in synthesis of MOF/composite nanoparticles and characterization (XRD, fluid sorption, spectroscopies, microscopies, TGA, DLS) Knowledge and experience in cell culture techniques. Oral and written communication skills in English. Motivation to pursue the goals of the project. Selection Criteria Adequacy of the candidate's training to the requested profile. Work experience related to the profile of the job position. Knowledge of English. Motivation for accomplishing high-quality research. Conditions Remuneration: Between 19.000€ – 21.000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise. The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
