Birch Mountain Enterprises is looking to hire a Working Foreman for Hydrovac for a Temporary 3 month project, with the potential to become full-time. 14/7 Shift schedule, Days and Nights. Job Summary: Operating from our Clients site location Fort McMurray the Hydro Vac Operator position involves the safe operation of a tri-drive hydro Vac unit. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous hydro-vac experience in the industrial sector. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate Tri-drive hydro Vac units in a safe and efficient manner Provide strong leadership to employees. Assist with training new hires. Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather. Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections. Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor. Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image. Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures. Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures. Ensure that all training is kept current. Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations. Seek out continuous improvement opportunities. Provide customer-focused services in all activities. Qualifications: Possess a valid Class 3 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract Minimum 3 years experience (including up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment) Previous or related experience operating at least three of these types of units: Water, Vacuum, Hydro, or Combo Vac units. Some Leadership experience. Mine drive experience. No Site bans. Clear verbal and written communication skills. OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification. H2S Alive. Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A, and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
