Undercoat and Spray-in Bed Liner Technician Reporting Relationship: This position reports directly to the Fixed Operations Manager. Job Summary: Birchwood Ford is seeking an Undercoating and Spray-In Bedliner Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying spray-in bedliners to new Ford truck inventory, used vehicles, and undercoating products sold through our Business Office. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure all vehicles are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, and completing all required prep work. Mask, tape, and cover areas that should not be coated, including lights, bolts, and body panels. Operate high-pressure undercoating and bedliner spray equipment to apply consistent, protective coatings. Inspect finished applications to ensure even texture, proper thickness, and complete coverage. Remove and clean any overspray from the vehicle and surrounding areas. Clean and maintain spray equipment, guns, and fluid lines after use. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including daily floor cleaning. Monitor inventory levels and request materials and shop supplies as required. Follow all safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Qualifications Previous experience as an Undercoating or Spray-In Bedliner Technician is an asset but not required. Valid driver’s licence. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a hands-on environment.
