Our Client Our client, a leading full-service Atlantic Canadian law firm, is seeking a Wills & Estates Associate to join its growing Halifax practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated estate matters within a collaborative, well-resourced firm, with a strong existing workflow and a clear path toward partnership. No existing book of business is required. Responsibilities Advise clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and personal directives. Work on sophisticated and high-value estates, including wealth transfers, trusts and multi-generational planning. Assist with probate and estate administration matters. Handle estate litigation matters as appropriate. Manage files and client relationships independently while collaborating with lawyers across the firm. Develop a long-term Wills & Estates practice supported by strong internal referrals. Requirements 3+ years of Wills & Estates experience, ideally representing at least 60% of your current practice. Strong preference for substantive estate planning experience, particularly complex or high-value matters. Estate litigation experience is considered an asset. Strong client service, communication, legal writing and practice management skills. Ability to independently manage files while working collaboratively within a team. Member in good standing of a Canadian law society and able to practise in Nova Scotia. Open to candidates across Canada who are interested in relocating to Halifax, particularly those with ties to Atlantic Canada. Ref #LI1779
