Associate Lawyer, Corporate M&A BJRC Recruiting · Toronto, Canada (On-site) About Us Our client is a leading national full-service law firm with a strong and growing corporate practice, advising on a broad range of public M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions. Responsibilities Advise on a range of corporate matters, with a focus on private M&A transactions Support on select public and capital markets matters as needed Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including share and asset purchase agreements and ancillary agreements Manage deal processes, including due diligence, closing coordination, and transaction execution Work closely with partners and senior lawyers across multiple mandates Coordinate with internal teams as required across corporate and securities matters Manage files with partner oversight and increasing autonomy Support partners on active corporate and transactional mandates Job Details Full-time associate position based in Toronto Collaborative, mentorship-driven environment with strong in-office presence Busy and growing corporate group with a steady pipeline of transactional work Opportunity to take on responsibility early and gain exposure to a variety of deals and partners Requirements Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar 2–5 years of call Training at a reputable firm in corporate law Strong experience in public M&A, securities, capital markets and private Equity transactions Ability to run files with confidence and work efficiently with partner supervision Strong work ethic with demonstrated billable capacity Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and proactive Adaptable, responsive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach Entrepreneurial, reliable, and motivated mindset REF#LI1783
