Resort Maintenance Technician

Looking for reliable and friendly individuals with some experience and knowledge of repair and tools and a desire to learn. The position requires the ability to preform a wide range of tasks in a dynamic environment. In this job you will be working with the public as part in a small maintenance team, and as part of a larger whole, so friendliness and communication skills are essential. This would be a good fit for someone who can do some repair tasks well and would like to learn more about building systems and maintenance in general. Assets: Ability to adapt to changing Good communication skills Ability to work with others and autonomously Able to lift, push, pull 50lbs; Reasonably physically fit Familiar with hand tools, power tools and building materials Ability to learn & apply new skills, processes and techniques Basic computer skills Knowledge of pool, and chemistry an asset Position Responsibilities: Respond to maintenance work orders in timely manner. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, systems Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment Communicate necessary information to people across many hotel departments. Work safely and work using best practices Update the maintenance work order form and file them. Prioritize and organize workload Providing friendly and curious assistance to hotel guests and staff Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals. Perform maintenance activities in the guest room. Perform maintenance activities in hotel’s public areas. To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. To monitor fire Alarm systems as necessary, handle emergencies involving the systems. Carry out specific oral and written instructions. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. The technician will respond to maintenance work orders, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, heating, electrical, and mechanical systems throughout the resort. They are also responsible for maintaining tools, monitoring fire alarm systems, and providing friendly assistance to hotel guests and staff.

Candidates should have basic experience with tools and building systems, along with the ability to lift 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new maintenance techniques are essential for this role.
