Blackbird Tech Solutions is the technology outlet of Blackbird Security, delivering security system integration and managed monitoring to commercial and residential clients across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We're growing our installation team and looking for a skilled, reliable Security Alarm Installer to help us deliver high-quality CCTV, access control, and networked security systems to our clients. What's in it for you Competitive wages based on experience Steady, full-time work with a growing local company Paid training on the latest camera, NVR, and network technology Opportunities to grow into senior installer, project lead, or design roles Company vehicle and tools provided for the job (after successful probation) Supportive, hands-on team environment What you will do Install, terminate, and configure IP and analog security cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and related hardware at commercial and residential sites Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, coax) neatly and to code Mount and align cameras, housings, and enclosures for optimal coverage Configure and test network connectivity for camera systems, including basic VLAN and IP setup Install and configure access control components (door controllers, readers, locking hardware) as needed Test all systems on completion and walk clients through basic operation Complete clear, accurate job documentation and site photos for each installation Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and site contacts Follow all safety procedures, including working at heights and on ladders/lifts The ideal candidate Experience installing CCTV, access control, or low-voltage security systems (required) Comfortable running structured cabling and working with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, PoE) Valid BC driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable working at heights and in a variety of site conditions Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, professional workmanship Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude Able to work independently and manage time on multi-stop days Security license or willingness to obtain one is an asset Security Systems Technician Course at BCIT (Preferred) Low-Voltage TQ certification is an asset, but not required About Blackbird Tech Solutions Blackbird Tech Solutions is the technology outlet of Blackbird Security, a Vancouver-based security integration and managed monitoring company licensed under the BC Security Business License and registered with WorkSafeBC.
