Ottawa – Field Technician (Vibration Monitoring) Ottawa - Field Technician (Vibration Monitoring) The Field Technician will provide field and office support to senior engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in blasting, vibration monitoring, and report preparation. Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities Configure, prepare, and install vibration monitoring equipment and related accessories at project sites. Supervise construction and blasting activities, ensuring compliance with monitoring plans and specifications. Prepare monitoring reports, progress reports, and field log reports with accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate with property owners to obtain permission for installing monitoring equipment. Consult with on-site supervisors to understand the type, location, and progress of work, ensuring appropriate adjustments to monitoring equipment as needed. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment, including electronics, to ensure optimal performance. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications Diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction technology, civil engineering). 0-2 years of experience in the construction/engineering industry. Physically capable of performing fieldwork in various conditions. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to project sites. Experience with electronics and equipment is a strong asset. Why Join Blastek?
