The Position Create and execute communications campaigns and activities on key strategic topics. Work closely with internal stakeholders across the business to plan, develop and execute highly engaging internal and external-facing activities and programs that support Corporate Affairs priorities and protect the company’s corporate reputation. This job posting is for an existing vacant position. Responsibilities Create and manage multi-channel communication campaigns, leveraging internal channels, digital platforms, social media, and storytelling to engage employees and external stakeholders Management and content development for internal communication channels, including: all-employee bi-weekly newsletter, head office digital signage (weekly content creation for display monitors in office), corporate website, corporate social media accounts Lead quarterly Town Halls, including the development of agenda and slides, speaking notes for President, co-host and senior leaders, meeting content and logistics Work effectively with senior management on ad hoc programs Employee intranet site – Canadian co-lead Content Manager supporting local content editors, liaising with global team Develop program-specific communications such as key messages, Q&A, speaking notes, large scale employee events, etc. Develop speaking notes/speeches for the President (when required) Drive initiatives that enhance the Boehringer Ingelheim brand internally and externally Drive employee understanding of and engagement with Boehringer Ingelheim Canada's strategy, vision, and priorities through compelling leadership communications, storytelling and targeted internal campaigns. Inform and engage employees on key business initiatives through internal communications channels and employee events. Measure and evaluate communications programs to ensure effectiveness, business value and alignment with organizational objectives. Optimize communications programs to maximize reach, engagement and business impact. Management and operation of external corporate communication channels, including company website and corporate local social media accounts (Facebook, X, LinkedIn). Monitoring of social channels, webmaster for company website and Corporate Communications mailbox for inquiries and triage requests as appropriate. Track Corporate Communications team budget requirements using internal system, including the creation of purchase orders, processing invoices and budget tracking. Content collection, execution of monthly Communications team meetings, as well as team lead for records retention Lead the development and execution of Boehringer culture and employee engagement initiatives that strengthen understanding of the company's vision, values, strategic priorities, and organizational culture. Includes co-managing end-to-end planning and execution of large employee annual event. This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is flexible.Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department. Requirements University degree or the equivalent with a specialty in Corporate Communications Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Communications with demonstrated proficiency in the following areas: Working experience with online content editing and copy writing Demonstrated understanding and working experience with various social media channels Experience with content management systems, social media management and collaboration tools, AI tools (SharePoint,Co-Pilot, Gain) Pharmaceutical industry or healthcare-related experience preferred Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office10 programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ability to multi-task and work independently Strong interpersonal skills: working with teams across different functional areas Strong oral/written communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail Effective organizational skills, prioritization and project management skills are required French and English language skills are an asset for the purpose of working cross-functionally with Boehringer colleagues across Canada and in some cases with colleagues situated globally.
