Develop short and medium-term capacity plans, including workforce and facility space requirements. Communicate production plans and any changes impacting assigned sectors. Monitor and measure adherence to production plans through cycle performance and backlog tracking. Develop, maintain, and align the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Prepare and evaluate planning scenarios to support manufacturing strategies by providing: Workforce impact assessments Facility space impact assessments Risk analysis for each scenario Recommendations on the preferred scenario Act as the primary link between production planners, the Master Production Plan, and manufacturing teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain and Internal Logistics, Methods, Industrial Engineering, and Quality. Operate effectively within a unionized manufacturing environment.Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic operational projects. How to thrive in this role? Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently. Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner with limited supervision. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities. Excellent communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Knowledge of SAP APO and ERP systems.
