Hiring Manager: James Klein Recruiter: Eric Bergman This position is an 8-month co-op/ PEY placement beginning September 2026. About The Role Join the R&D team supporting the development of next-generation intracardiac ultrasound capital equipment. This co-op will work alongside systems and software engineers during a critical verification phase, helping execute system-level testing, evaluate new software builds, document defects, and support product development through design verification activities. Your Responsibilities Will Include Execute verification and validation testing using established protocols Support system-level testing of medical device software and hardware Evaluate new software builds and document software defects Accurately record observations and maintain detailed test documentation Collaborate with systems, software, and quality engineers to resolve issues Assist with development and refinement of verification protocols Support engineering activities during product verification leading toward regulatory submission Work hands-on with console hardware in a laboratory environment Required Qualifications Actively enrolled in a Computer Science/Engineering, Software/Systems Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Bachelor's or Graduate degree program Strong interest in biomedical technology Motivated self-starter with a hands-on approach Ability to work independently and with a diverse group of Engineers and Clinicians Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Positive attitude and enthusiasm Preferred Qualifications Experience with software testing or verification MATLAB (preferred) Python or scripting experience Systems engineering principles Experience troubleshooting software or hardware issues Experience documenting defects and test results Familiarity with version-controlled software development or software validation Work Mode At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy.
