Fire watch / Spark watch positions

Boucher Bros Lumber Ltd. is looking to add new Team Members on our maintenance team, to fill the roles of Fire Watch (spark watch). This position is involves shift-work and requires a mature individual who can work independently, with a strong attention to detail. If selected, you will be assisting our Welders (Trades) with Fire Watch (spark watch), cleaning, building checks, and other duties as assigned. This role could possibly qualify for industrial trades apprenticeship credit hours. Additional growth opportunities are available to an individual looking to grow their abilities within our company. The successful candidate must have their own reliable means of transportation due to the hours of work. Responsible To: Maintenance Manager Qualifications: Valid Drivers License Physically Fit Team player but also possess the ability to work alone. High level of integrity and work ethic. Strong attention to detail. Written and Oral communication skills in English and/or French. Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to document tasks. Bondable Flexibility to shift schedule both Day or Night. Job Types: Full-time and Part-time positions available. Education and Experience: High school diploma preferred but not required Fire watch/ Spark Watch: 1 year (preferred but not necessary) Licence/Certification: Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Certification (preferred) Work Location: Boucher Bros Lumber Ltd. Sawmill Site located near Nampa, Alberta.

The successful candidate will assist Welders with Fire Watch duties, cleaning, building checks, and other assigned tasks. This role involves shift work and requires a mature individual who can work independently.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be physically fit. Strong attention to detail, communication skills in English and/or French, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
