Position Summary: Position: Welder Journeyperson Type: Full Time Location: Fort McKay, Incubator Park Schedule: 7 on / 7 off, 12 hour per day Compensation Details: Vacation pay at 6% - paid out bi-weekly upon start date Health & Dental and Long-Term Disability Benefits - eligible after 3 months of continuous service RPP (Registered Pension Plan) with company matching - eligible after 3 months of continuous service Employer paid Employee Assistance Program Other Incentives: Progression and development opportunities Safety Recognition Company support for recertification of required tickets Years of Service Recognition – Annual Bouchier welcome gift and company swag Overtime available but not guaranteed Accommodations provided – Available dependent upon role/site Primary Responsibilities Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes; Examine welds and ensure that they meet CWB, ABSA standards and specifications Ensure the finished weld is uniform and free of indications e.g.; grapes, crates, porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Utilize the following techniques: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW), Plasma Arc Welding (PAW), etc. Ability to weld stainless steel, iron and heavy metals; aluminum, nickel, titanium and other alloys; composites Other related duties as assigned Education & Experience Inter-provincial (Red Seal) or Alberta certified Journeyman Welder certificate B Pressure Welding Certification ABSA Performance Qualification Card 3 years experience in a related field, previous oil and construction experience preferred Valid Class 5 Driver’s License CSO (Common Safety Orientation) certificate is required WHMIS Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to make sound decisions Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills Good written and oral communication skills. Exigences

Candidates must hold an Inter-provincial Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Welder certificate along with B Pressure and ABSA qualifications. A minimum of 3 years of related experience and a valid Class 5 Driver’s License are required.
