About The Position As part of projects carried out for a major client in the aerospace industrial sector, we are seeking an Electrical Building Technician with strong experience in AutoCAD design as well as field surveys of existing installations. The selected candidate will primarily work in an active and complex environment requiring rigor, autonomy, and the ability to thoroughly understand existing conditions in order to develop appropriate solutions. Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Drafting Produce and modify electrical drawings and diagrams (distribution, lighting, auxiliary systems) using AutoCAD Contribute to the design of technical solutions adapted to existing buildings Update as-built drawings Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements Field Surveys & Site Work Conduct technical site surveys (measurements, equipment inventory, validation of existing installations) Analyze existing conditions and document discrepancies or constraints Collaborate with engineers and project managers to integrate field data into designs Occasionally participate in site meetings Coordination & Collaboration Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, architectural, etc.) Maintain effective communication with the client and on-site stakeholders Support the project team in resolving technical issues Profile Education & Experience College diploma (DEC) in electrical engineering, electrotechnology, or a related field 5 to 8 years of experience in building electrical systems or a similar environment Strong experience in AutoCAD design and drafting Experience conducting field surveys in existing buildings (essential) Experience in industrial or institutional environments (strong asset) Technical Skills Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD Good knowledge of building electrical systems, including: Low and medium voltage power distribution Lighting and control systems Equipment power supply Solid understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Soft Skills Autonomy and initiative Strong attention to detail and rigor Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Ability to thrive in a dynamic and structured environment Assets Experience in a manufacturing environment or with a major client organization Knowledge of Revit (an asset) ASP Construction card (health and safety certification for construction sites) Build your career with us and enjoy… A culture built on collaboration, knowledge sharing, talent development, and the quality of our work.
