WRIGHT TREE SERVICE OF CANADA The Position: Apprentice Utility Arborist Type: Full-time Reports To: Project Manager About Us: Wright Tree Service, a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, provides vegetation management, storm restoration, and work planning services to utility companies and their communities across North America. Why Wright Canada Holdings: * A Company Culture of Safety, Family, Integrity, Excellence and Stewardship * Pay rate of $30 to $36 per hour * We provide ALL equipment needed except your CSA Certified Work Boots * Working shifts of 9 days on and 5 days off * Compensated travel time, depending on working location, and live out allowance * Medical and Dental benefits * Employee Ownership potential Key Responsibilities: * Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris, or feed brush into a woodchipper. * Assist in site set-up and take-down, including equipment handling and maintaining site cleanliness. * Commitment to working safely and supporting a positive team environment. * Perform physically demanding manual labor in various weather conditions. * Other duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Expectations: * Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits. * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record; air brakes endorsement is a plus. * Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments. * Motivated to learn independently and from team members, with strong time management skills. * Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment. * Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE. * Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations during emergencies. * Valid First-Aid and CPR certificates.
