Why Wright Canada Holdings: Pay rate of $59,000 to $70,000 annually. Full benefits package. Overtime, statutory holiday, and vacation pay. Paid travel time, per diem and accommodations when away from home. Employee ownership plan. All equipment and tools supplied. Key Responsibilities: Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment by consistently adhering to and reinforcing the company’s safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provide daily support, guidance, and coaching to employees and supervisors to ensure a consistent and effective implementation of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program. Offer expert advice and assistance to Operations and Support Services teams to support the successful execution and maintenance of a robust OHS program. Deliver employee safety orientations, coordinate emergency response training, and organize both internal and external training sessions for operational staff. Support the development and maintenance of Site Preparedness and Emergency Response Plans and related procedures. Participate in the review of workplace incidents and accidents, and coordinate investigations to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Assist in conducting joint field audits, providing recommendations to Operations and Support Services management for continuous improvement. Support managers in identifying training needs and conducting gap analyses across all contracts to ensure workforce competency. Coordinate and conduct internal audits required for maintaining SAFE and COR certifications. Perform regular field visits throughout the year, with an expectation of increased site presence during peak operational periods. Some travel and overnight stays may be required. Oversee and facilitate safety onboarding processes for subcontractors, ensuring alignment with company safety standards. Other duties as required. Knowledge and Skills Expectations: 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role or industry. Strong understanding of applicable safety legislation and regulations in British Columbia and Alberta. Formal training in incident investigation and root cause analysis. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) certification is preferred. Experience with return-to-work and disability management programs considered an asset. Class 5 drivers license and abstract with less than 6 demerits. Successful applicant must pass pre-employment drug screening. A safety conscious attitude. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field.
