Laser Machine Operator

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator to work at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. From $25.11 per hour and up PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums. Shifts: Afternoon (3pm-11pm) Please do not call to inquire about the status of your application, we will contact those who meet the requirements. Duties Operate one or more laser cutting machines in a safe, efficient manner (i.e. setup, monitoring, troubleshooting). Perform basic machine maintenance (i.e. centering lens, changing consumables, emptying waste). Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime. Perform material handling activities (i.e. locating material, loading/unloading machine) using an overhead crane or other material handling equipment. Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner. Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization. Assist other Laser staff when work schedule permits. Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and practices. Comfortable with the use of computers. Overhead crane experience with valid record of training. Able to read and interpret nest plans and part drawings. Able to complete all required documents accurately clearly. Demonstrated safe work habits, commitment to quality, and attention to detail. Service award program including travel vouchers for $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000 for 10, 20, and 30 years of service. Group RRSP program with contribution matching up to 5% of regular annual earnings. Shift premiums up to $4 per hour on nights and $2 per hour on afternoons. Overtime after 40 hours per week.
