Centre: Milverton, ON Pay Range: $17.60-$17.97 Additional Responsibilities: Candidates are accountable for own transportation. This position will be between two locations. Matheson East and Milverton. One centre in the morning and second centre in the afternoon. *1 year of experience working in the childcare field or in a position with children who have diverse learned or developmental delays preferred* Job Type: Full-Time, Contract until December 2026 No evenings or weekends! As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include: • Assisting RECE’s with instruction in the classroom. • Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children. • Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities. • Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families. • Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary. • Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials. • Other duties as assigned. The Early Childhood Assistant will support teachers in classroom instruction and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children. They are responsible for interacting with children to encourage activity participation and building collaborative relationships with families and staff.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with Early Childhood Assistant certification preferred. Applicants are required to hold current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR certifications and meet local health and immunization requirements.
