Categories: Management / Non-Union Location(s): Owen Sound Types: Full Time DEPARTMENT: MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTIONS POSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUND UNION AFFILIATION: NON-UNION STATUS: FULL-TIME REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT SALARY RANGE: $116,136 – $137,766 Reporting to the Director, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Manager will oversee the development, management, evaluation and continuous improvement of quality patient care services at the Wellness and Recovery Centre. The Manager will be responsible for clinical and operational leadership, coordination, and oversight for patient care delivery with a specialized focus on addiction medicine and substance use. This position will encompass a number of mental health and addiction programs. The Manager is accountable to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the outpatient and addiction service programming to facilitate quality care, education, research, human resources management, fiscal management and leadership. Qualifications Required Undergraduate Degree in a Regulated Healthcare Profession or Social Services Discipline, Masters preferred Current registration with a health professional regulatory body Experience in delivery of complex mental health and/or addiction programming both within an inpatient and outpatient setting Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience Minimum 5 years management and/or project management experience in a hospital setting or community development Experience in capacity-building and collaborative partnership development Strong leadership and analytical skills Highly developed interpersonal presentation and communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage time and resources Ability to collaborate with other regional healthcare partners and build business relationships with senior executives Ability to interact effectively with a variety of people such as physicians, senior management, colleagues and clinical/technical staff Overall commitment to the quality of patient care as well as customer service Valid (class G) driver’s license, ability to travel (to outreach communities), reliable and insurable vehicle Available for regular assignment of Hospital Administrator On-Call responsibilities (assigned on a rotating basis to cover evenings and weekends) Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records Demonstrate, promote and encourage Brightshores’ values – We Show Up for Each Other, We Are Trusted to Act, We Create Solutions Together, We Strive for Better, We Share Accountability Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at Brightshores through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes Comply with all applicable health and safety policies, procedures and regulations, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
