Brightside Learning provides coaching to complex learners from Grade 1 through university who are affected by ADHD and executive functioning difficulties. We teach students how to learn by providing them with tools, strategies, and opportunities to help them succeed both academically and personally, and ultimately reach their full potential. We are currently seeking Student Success Coaches to join our team. Candidates must be available to work after-school, evening, and weekend hours. Student Success Coaches facilitate one-on-one student sessions focused on executive functioning, learning strategies, and academic success. Coaches support students in developing skills related to organization, planning, time management, study strategies, active reading comprehension, written expression, self-monitoring, and independent learning. Coaches are also responsible for maintaining ongoing communication regarding student progress. Qualifications Currently enrolled in or holding a Bachelor's degree in Education (related fields may be considered). Minimum of 5 years of experience working with diverse K–12 student populations. Exceptional organizational skills and strong personal executive functioning abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with working knowledge of French. Ability to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and other professionals while maintaining confidentiality. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Relationship Building & Connection Exceptional ability to develop trusting, supportive, and connected relationships with students and families. Strong capacity for attunement, co-regulation, empathy, and responsive support. Ability to motivate students while maintaining warmth, structure, and accountability. Executive Function Expertise Strong understanding of executive functioning and its impact on learning and daily life. Ability to teach and support skills such as planning, organization, time management, task initiation, working memory, emotional regulation, flexible thinking, self-monitoring, and metacognition. Understanding of the challenges commonly experienced by students with ADHD and other executive functioning difficulties. Coaching, Teaching & Problem-Solving Ability to guide students through implementing practical strategies for organization, planning, studying, and self-regulation. Skilled at breaking complex tasks into manageable steps and helping students develop systems that promote independence. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt strategies based on individual student needs. Adaptive Instruction Ability to identify learning challenges and explain concepts using multiple approaches. Comfortable adapting instruction to different learning styles, ages, abilities, and levels of academic support. Familiarity with tools such as visual organizers, checklists, digital planning systems, and other executive function supports. Compensation All new coaches must successfully complete our company-provided training. Training is paid at a rate of $30.00 per hour. Upon successful completion, student coaching sessions are compensated at rates of up to $50.00 per session, depending on experience and level of independence.
