Our mission is to make every league night the best night of the week for our athletes. ROLE OVERVIEW BRL Studio® is the in-house creative agency for Brodie Rec. League, supporting a rapidly growing sports brand operating across 20+ North American cities and serving more than 50,000 athletes. We are looking for a Designer, Brand Systems & Environments to join our Toronto headquarters and help shape how the Brodie brand shows up both digitally and physically. This is a newly created role that will work alongside our current Graphic Designer focusing on the systems, environments, and physical experiences that bring our brand to life. While our Graphic Designer drives day-to-day campaign and content production, this role will own the foundational design systems, wayfinding, venue signage, and print production that support every touchpoint of the athlete experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a designer who enjoys building scalable systems, thinking beyond individual assets, and seeing their work come to life in real-world environments. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Identity Systems Build and maintain identity systems, toolkits, templates, and component libraries used across Brodie brands, campaigns, partnerships, and events Develop logo systems, typography standards, colour systems, grid structures, and design guidelines that ensure consistency across all creative output Document and maintain design standards so brand systems scale effectively across teams, vendors, and future initiatives Wayfinding & Environmental Design Design wayfinding systems, venue signage, environmental graphics, and branded experiences for tournaments, launches, activations, and events Translate campaign concepts into large-format, spatial, and environmental applications while considering venue dimensions, fabrication requirements, and operational constraints Create branded experiences that elevate the athlete journey and strengthen Brodie's presence across physical environments Print Production Own print production from concept through final delivery, including file setup, prepress preparation, proofing, colour management, vendor coordination, and quality control Build and manage relationships with printers, fabricators, and signage vendors to ensure exceptional execution of physical assets Serve as the studio's subject matter expert on print materials, finishes, fabrication methods, and production best practices Studio Collaboration Partner closely with the Graphic Designer to balance campaign output, support peak production periods, and maintain a high standard of creative execution Contribute to seasonal campaigns and broader brand initiatives across content, product, and live experiences Collaborate with the Executive Creative Director and Brand Team to continuously elevate the quality, consistency, and scalability of Brodie's visual identity REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years of experience within a studio, agency, or in-house design environment Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity systems, design thinking, and scalable visual frameworks rather than only finished campaign work Proven experience designing wayfinding systems, environmental graphics, signage, or physical brand experiences Hands-on print production experience with a strong understanding of prepress, proofing, fabrication processes, and vendor management Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and modern design workflows Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to build, document, and maintain scalable design frameworks Comfortable receiving creative direction, incorporating feedback, and continuously refining your craft Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects and deadlines 5 days in office at our Toronto HQ - Brodie has thrived due to a culture of collaboration and teamwork in office NICE TO HAVE Motion graphics experience Experience working within sports, lifestyle, streetwear, fashion, or culture-focused brands Experience with large-format production, environmental installations, or dimensional fabrication Experience working within established brand systems and executing campaigns against defined creative frameworks COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE The expected annual compensation range for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 CAD. Compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. The compensation range may be adjusted in the future.
