As an Embedded Software Engineer within the Engineering team, you will contribute to the development of strategic electronic systems for BRP's next generation of recreational vehicles. You will participate in the design, development, and validation of complex embedded software, particularly for our Battery Management System (BMS), a key component of our electric vehicle platforms. You will also be involved in the development of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and vehicle communication solutions, including a CAN gateway designed to meet European cybersecurity requirements. From requirements analysis through integration and production release, you will play a central role in delivering innovative, high-performance, and safe solutions. YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Contribute to the development of low-level software for various Electronic Control Units (ECUs) using C/C++; Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS); Design new drivers (e.g., SPI, I2C, CAN, etc.); Perform unit testing of developed functions; Develop functional tests for each product using Python; Assist with requirements definition and project task planning (Agile methodology); Support other teams during testing activities; Contribute to effort estimation for potential future projects. YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent; Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience; Knowledge of embedded programming in C/C++; Ability to integrate electrical, electronic and software engineering principles; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written; Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN) and related protocols is considered an asset.
