We are seeking an engineer reporting to the manager, Crates and decals, to help design transport crates and vehicle tie-down methods starting from the early design phases of new products. In this role, you will play a major part in improving crate quality and ensuring vehicle integrity from the factory to the dealership. You will be part of a dynamic, innovative team that thrives on strong internal collaboration and cross-functional partnerships. You'll Have The Opportunity To Develop crating strategies and components from concept definition through to production, as well as continuously improving them once in service. Collaborate with vehicle development, production, procurement, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, and suppliers across all development stages to design innovative ideas and win-win solutions. Conduct studies, analyses, and calculations to define robust solutions and guide design technicians and project leads in their work. Plan, coordinate, and monitor virtual and physical testing required to validate identified solutions. Participate in developing the vision and working methods that guide crate development for upcoming new platforms. YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: Strong ability to grasp complex situations and manage diverse, sometimes conflicting information and requirements. Excellent planning, priority management, and problem-resolution tracking skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English to collaborate effectively with partners outside Quebec. A strong collaborator and valued team player. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with relevant experience and an interest in structural engineering. You have other skills!
