As the Helmet engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for the technical, human and strategic management of the helmet development within a matrix structure. You will play a key role in the development of innovative protective equipment for all BRP’s playgrounds, ensuring consistency, quality and continuous evolution of the discipline. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO: Manage human resources within the protective equipment discipline (recruitment, development, evaluation). Define, provide, and maintain the necessary design and validation tools for the discipline. Oversee development, simulation, validation, lab testing, and benchmarking activities. Implement and monitor processes such as DVP (Design Verification Plan), FPS (Functional Performance Specification), DFx, PFMEA, and DFMEA. Develop and manage the certification plan for protective equipment. Ensure continuous technological watch to keep the discipline at the cutting edge. Manage technical relationships with key suppliers. Define and follow up on the Tooling Release Plan. Plan resources according to project needs and priorities. Lead and grow the discipline’s peer circle to foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES: University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including team or project management. Proficiency in mechanical design, validation, and simulation tools and methods. In-depth knowledge of quality standards and processes (DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP, etc.). Recognized leadership skills, with the ability to mobilize and develop a team. Excellent communication skills in both French and English. Ability to thrive in a matrix and multidisciplinary environment.
