heavy equipment operator

BRT Construction is looking to bring on experienced, hard working and committed Backhoe Operators. We are a *Shallow Utility Company *with services focusing on the telecommunications and power sectors. Job Responsibilities: * Work independently. * Be able to read and understand locates and drawings. * Move fill and sand. * Excavate trenches etc. for shallow utility installation. * Complete daily equipment inspections. * Daily maintenance of equipment such as greasing and fueling. * Assist with equipment servicing. * Check and shoot grades. * Haul and load equipment. * Effective communication skills both verbal and written * Detail oriented and hardworking. * Reliable, punctual, responsible, and reliable * Organized and possessed excellent time management skills. * Ambitious, motivated, solid work ethics. * Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team Looking to fill the positions immediately, we offer industry competitive wages and benefit plans. _*\*Hourly wage is negotiable based on experience and ability\**_ Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance Ability to commute/relocate: * Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * heavy equipment operator: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: * Drivers Licence (required) Work Location: In person
