Buckerfield's Nanaimo – Receiving Clerk – Starting Rate: $19 - $21 / hour Do you have good working knowledge of bookkeeping practices and/or familiar with accounting practices. Do you possess excellent computer skills and communication skills? Do you enjoy a fast paced environment? Buckerfield's Nanaimo, BC owned and operated farm, feed, pet and garden store is seeking to hire a full-time continuous Receiving Clerk to join our fast paced, growing, knowledgeable team. This position is responsible for all data entry of invoices into our system, checking invoices for accuracy and completion, ensuring retails are aligned with current market conditions, and month end reporting. General knowledge and experience in business accounting and inventory control system is an asset with strong attention to detail. This candidate will also be the liaison between the store and Head Office Accounting Team. Responsibilities Entering supplier invoices Co-ordinating with vendors to address shortages, process product returns and arrange credits Verify costs and update retail prices Prepare bank reconciliations Accurate filing and record keeping Inventory spot checks and tracking down inventory discrepancies Working with warehouse staff to ensure proper receiving processes are being followed Assist in month end reporting Providing customer service and processing customer transactions, when required Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager Requirements Highly organized and meticulous Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills The ability to work well with others Data entry, book keeping or accounting experience Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Outlook.
