Building Systems Engineering Ltd. (BSE) is an innovative engineering consulting firm with a combined experience of over fifty (50) years providing high quality, energy-efficient and cost-effective engineered solutions for technically challenging projects. Through collaboration between Architects and engineering disciplines, BSE designs and manages engineered systems and solutions for various types of buildings including but not limited to commercial, office, retail, institutional and industrial industries in various geographical areas such as Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Yukon Territory. We believe the best method to providing a solution is to collaborate with stakeholders. In deference to cold climate operations and knowledge of community resources, our designs are simple, easy to maintain and repair, incorporating equipment redundancy with optimal mechanical systems. With these key factors in mind, the systems proposed for buildings are based on past designs using proven mechanical systems with emphasis placed on improving efficiency rather than applying esoteric or unproven technologies. Having said that, special considerations are made to evaluate each proposed energy-efficient option through the design process by collaborating with local people to formalize the types of proposed systems for a building. As part of our value-add propositions, we perform energy simulations to verify energy loads for buildings to validate equipment selections using scientific data to design and select a system to our client’s needs.
