Company Description Bunbury Dental Clinic is a locally ownef dental practice located at 25 Hopeton Road in Stratford, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The clinic provides comprehensive dental services to individuals and families in the local community. Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role based at Bunbury Dental Clinic in Stratford, PE. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and other preventive hygiene services. The hygienist educates patients on oral health, home care techniques, and disease prevention, while collaborating with dentists to develop and implement individual treatment plans. Additional duties include maintaining accurate clinical records, following infection control and sterilization protocols, and contributing to a supportive, efficient clinical workflow. Qualifications Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and comprehensive Dental Care, with the ability to support diagnostic and treatment processes. Expertise in Hygiene practices and Dental Prophylaxis, including preventive and maintenance care for diverse patient populations. Knowledge of Periodontal Disease assessment, management, and patient education to support long-term oral health. Current registration or licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the applicable jurisdiction, or eligibility to obtain it. Proficiency in infection control, sterilization procedures, and use of dental hygiene instruments and equipment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and educate patients clearly and respectfully. Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team, manage time efficiently, and adapt to a busy clinical environment. Experience with electronic dental records and basic computer skills; CPR certification is an asset.
