Director, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance – Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC – LinkedIn Job Type Permanent, Full-time Monday- Friday Location 11 Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC Position Overview The Director, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance oversees the company’s enterprise risk management framework and insurance portfolio. The role ensures alignment between Operations, Safety, Finance, and Legal to identify, assess, and mitigate risks impacting financial performance, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and corporate reputation. The position covers Canada, the United States, and Mexico and reports to the Vice President, Legal Affairs. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Risk Management Design and lead the enterprise risk management framework. Identify, assess, and monitor strategic, operational, and compliance risks. Develop policies, procedures, KRIs, and reporting dashboards. Lead quarterly and annual risk assessments. Support implementation of controls and accident prevention initiatives. Insurance Program Management Support procurement and renewal of insurance programs. Oversee claims management, loss prevention, and third-party relationships. Manage insurance budgets and ensure appropriate coverage (liability, property, equipment). Negotiate contracts and optimize risk transfer strategies. Implement effective claims tracking and loss forecasting processes. Regulatory Compliance Monitor legislative and regulatory developments. Train internal teams on compliance requirements. Ensure insurance contract compliance. Conduct periodic audits. Qualifications Relevant university degree. Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably in transportation or logistics. Proven expertise in building and governing enterprise risk and insurance programs. Strong knowledge of KRIs, insurance structures, and sector-specific legal considerations. Experience in qualitative and quantitative risk assessment. English proficiency required; French and/or Spanish considered an asset. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced international environment. The bilingualism requirement is necessary because more than 95% of the business clientele served is English-speaking.
