Location: Niagara Region Status: Part-Time Permanent This posting is to fill an existing vacancy. About the Role CAA Niagara has acquired AAPEX Driving Academy, a long‑standing driver training school that has been providing safety education since 1988. AAPEX is known for its strong focus on collision prevention through its exclusive Look‑Predict‑Prevent program. As a Flex Driving Instructor, you will play a key role in promoting road safety by delivering high‑quality driver education to students. This position involves providing both practical and theoretical instruction to new drivers, helping them build the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to become safe and responsible drivers. Driving Instructors at AAPEX work under a flexible part‑time schedule that adapts to the needs of the business throughout the year. While the role is classified as part‑time, instructors may be scheduled for full‑time hours during peak seasons based on student demand and operational requirements. This flexibility allows instructors to maintain a consistent part‑time status while benefiting from increased hours during busier periods. Schedules are communicated in advance whenever possible to support work‑life balance and ensure clarity around expectations. The hourly wage for this role is $22.00. Key Responsibilities Conduct driving lessons in accordance with driving regulations and guidelines. Teach students the rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and safe driving practices. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their driving skills. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during driving lessons. Keep the level of changes in driving laws and regulations. Requirements (BFOR): Applicants must be at least 25 years old for insurance reasons. A criminal record check and vulnerable persons check are mandatory. Minimum of 4 years of driving experience with a valid G License. A clean driving record with zero demerit points is essential. An insurance record free of claims for the past 4 consecutive years is required. Qualifications & Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Education & Experience Must hold a valid In‑Car Driving Instructor License First Aid certification is preferred Working Conditions Driving in all weather conditions and inclement weather Ability to work at any of AAPEX locations, you must be able to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
