Team Member, Window Servicing

We are seeking a detail-oriented team player for the position of Team Member, Window Servicing. This role is responsible for installing various types of windows & doors across different Caivan | ABIC Ottawa Projects. This involves collaborating with our Installation and Construction Teams, ensuring accuracy with measurements and fit, as well as enhancing energy efficiency through proper sealing and insulation. The Window Team Member also troubleshoots and addresses installation issues, while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Industry Leading Wages Complimentary Daily Lunch Program Supportive team culture that values safety, quality, and innovation Use of ADP (HR Portal) – easily access your employee information, paystubs & schedule time off Bi-Weekly Payments directly to your bank account You Will Bring * 2-5 Years of demonstrated experience in window installation, with a particular focus on new home construction projects * Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation * Experience dealing with tools & machinery Exceptional Skills * A strong understanding of various window & door types and their specific installation requirements * Excellent measurement and mathematical skills to ensure accurate fit and alignment * A keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision work, ensuring the highest quality installations * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team, fostering a positive and productive work environment * Basic knowledge of construction safety procedures to prioritize the well-being of oneself and colleagues on the job site * Effective communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution Key Responsibilities * Install a wide range of window & door types in various building models, including new home construction projects * Work closely with Installation and Construction Teams to schedule and coordinate window & door installations, ensuring projects are completed within designated timelines * Measure and assess openings to guarantee the precise fit of windows, contributing to the overall quality of the construction project * Implement proper sealing, insulation, and weatherproofing techniques around windows & doors to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact * Maintain a clean and organized work area while always adhering to safety protocols to minimize risks on the job site * Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the window & door installation process, ensuring installations meet high-quality standards * Provide lock out service; installing screens, cranks and making adjustments as needed for all windows and doors to open & close properly * Any additional duties as required Working Conditions * Majority of time is spent on construction sites or in our Factory * Ability to adapt to changing site conditions and priorities * Work may involve exposure to weather, noise, dust, and high-risk activities * PPE (hard hat & steel toes boots) is required at all times in field settings * Physically able to lift, bend, and work in all weather conditions * Ability to travel to different projects throughout the City of Ottawa We carefully review all applications and will contact candidates whose skills, experience, and qualifications most closely align with the requirements of the position.
