Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with 5+ years of project management experience in the Banking and Capital Markets domain. The ideal candidate will lead complex business and technology initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of projects that support strategic business objectives, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and digital transformation across capital markets and banking operations. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end project delivery for banking and capital markets initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communications. Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, operations, compliance, risk management, and external vendors. Drive requirements gathering, business analysis, solution design, and implementation activities. Develop and maintain project governance frameworks, status reporting, and executive-level presentations. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal governance policies. Coordinate testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and post-implementation support activities. Facilitate steering committee meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder workshops. Monitor project performance using key metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary. Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies depending on project requirements. Mentor junior project managers and contribute to project management best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of project management experience within Banking and Capital Markets. Proven experience managing medium to large-scale business and technology transformation projects. Strong understanding of capital markets products and processes, including: Equities Fixed Income Derivatives Foreign Exchange (FX) Trade Lifecycle Management Securities Processing Asset Management Investment Banking Operations Experience working with front-office, middle-office, and back-office functions. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Preferred Qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or equivalent certification. Experience with regulatory initiatives such as: Dodd-Frank MiFID II Basel III EMIR SEC/FINRA regulations Experience leading digital transformation, cloud migration, data modernization, or automation initiatives. Knowledge of risk management, compliance, and operational controls within financial institutions. Familiarity with data governance, reporting, and analytics platforms.
