Electrician – Journeyperson **Position is located in Grande Prairie, AB** ROLE STATEMENT: The Electrician- Journeyperson will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for addressing electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance on all components of Calfrac equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician - Journeyperson will focus on the repair and maintenance of all Calfrac equipment to company standards. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements * Repair and maintain all Calfrac electrical equipment and components * Maintain all recording and control software * Updates and modification requests * Perform preventive maintenance on a regular basis * Assist in scheduling and costs for repairs * Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees * Develop a base understanding of fracturing and coiled tubing operations * Must attend all pre job meetings and attend safety meetings when required * Remote field work will be required KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: * Flexible to work a variety of shifts (shift work, night shift, day shift) * Follow and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations * Energetic self-starter, able to work in a dynamic environment * Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintain a high level of attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels * Work under physically demanding circumstances * Able to write reports and work closely with maintenance administration personnel * Experience making immediate decisions, while maintaining composure, in high pressure situations with minimal supervision * Able to operate process control equipment * Must be mechanically inclined * This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening * This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile) SCHEDULE: * Local: Eight (8) days on, Six (6) days off EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Accredited technical diploma in the Electronics or Electrical field or completion of Journeyman Electrician Certification * 4-6 years of relevant experience * Advanced understanding of technical concepts is required. * Good understanding and experience with basic hydraulic systems * Experienced with electric over hydraulic / air and PLC is considered an asset * Knowledge of electronic control systems, QA-QC, and troubleshooting Explore the abundance of the Grande Prairie - Greenview Corridor, which showcases a booming economy, breathtaking landscapes, a warm sense of community and endless things to do. Requires a Journeyman Electrician Certification or an accredited technical diploma in Electronics or Electrical fields. Candidates must have 4-6 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of technical concepts and hydraulic systems.
