The Role We are looking for a collaborative team player who is effective at providing departmental and site direction, fostering a culture of operational excellence and upholding Cameco’s values. You will be looked upon to lead the maintenance teams through change and improvements that align with Cameco’s strategic goals. In This Role, You Will Lead a team of professionals to ensure safe and efficient maintenance activities. Maintain appropriate budget and workforce levels to support operational needs and ensure work is effectively planned, scheduled, and coordinated to deliver services as efficiently as possible. Provide department and site leadership, foster a culture of operational excellence, and uphold Cameco's values. Coach, mentor, and guide employees to develop a high-performing team. Assist with the development of medium-term departmental strategies and occasionally act as Site Senior, attending daily and weekly meetings with peer groups. Required journeyperson trade or engineering technology diploma; a minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in industry; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; experience supervising front-line staff; proficient computer skills; and work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft. Recommended SAP or maintenance management system experience. Conditions Of Employment substance test; and tradeverification. The Key Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan. The physical and psychological safety of our employees is a top priority at Cameco.
