The Role Reporting to the supervisor, site services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of batch plant and waste management equipment, along with a variety of mobile equipment to maintain site infrastructure, roads, and airstrip. In This Role, You Will Operate concrete batch plant and waste management equipment. Operate mobile equipment, including loaders, sand trucks, buses, skid steer, and vac trucks. Practice safe work habits and comply with company safety policies, including completing daily operator care rounds; ensure proper machine startup, operation, and shutdown procedures; and assist with preventative maintenance when appropriate. Perform manual labour as required, including regular lifting of materials and luggage. Required grade 12 or equivalent; at least five (5) years of relevant work experience; equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; valid Class 2 driver’s license; experience with dozer, 872 grader, 644 & 744 loaders, track hoe, and 35-ton rock truck; safety-oriented team player with excellent communication and organizational skills; mechanically inclined with knowledge of equipment and hand tools; able to clearly communicate with team members when needed; willingness to perform manual labour as required; must be proficient with using computers, including Microsoft Office/365; and work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft. Recommended valid Class 1A driver’s license; bagging station & labour work; previous lead hand or supervisory experience; ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification; and previous experience with SAP.
