The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. The Role Reporting to the site training coordinator, you will be responsible to develop new and update existing training programs by utilizing Cameco’s Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). You will consult with key stakeholders to develop training curriculum to meet the operation’s training needs. In This Role, You Will Deliver training and conduct evaluations of employee performance. Training includes but is not limited to: Backfill and Concrete Placement, Bulkhead building and ventilation work, installation of backfill gantry and backfill plug, shotcrete operations, Mobile Equipment, and training new personnel in safe construction methods. Use adult learning principles to develop and deliver training programs to site employees and contractors. Determine operational training requirements and create classroom/practical training programs based on operation’s training needs. Support Cameco’s Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) through various administrative functions. Maintain attendance and enrollment of the training programs and update training records in Cameco’s database as required. Communicate and collaborate effectively with all Cameco departments and contractors. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Required minimum grade 12 education, diploma or certificate in a related field; minimum seven years of relevant work experience; certificate in Adult Education and/or Train the Trainer certification, along with a background in training and development in a mining environment; a combination of relevant training experience, on the job or formal education, would be considered; understanding of Systematic Approach to Training; strong computer, presentation, and communication skills (visual, verbal, and written) are essential; experience in SAP and Microsoft office applications and; work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft. Recommended previous training and/or peer training/mentoring experience in underground hard rock development mining environment and; knowledge of freeze dilling, long hole drilling, and raisebore drilling. Exigences
