We are on the hunt for new, keen accounting students and co-ops to join our dynamic team for the upcoming tax season! Are you enrolled in the co-op program or even just graduated and looking to break into public practice? Then this could be the opportunity for you! Co-op students receive a broad spectrum of experience, mentorship and guidance throughout their work term and will be well positioned for their future career in public practice. For the right candidate there is potential for extended contracts through the summer and even a future CPA student articling position. Responsibilities once you are through your training will include: Bookkeeping Canadian and/or U.S. personal tax return preparation Corporate T4 and T5 return preparation GST return preparation and filing Correspondence with CRA Administrative work as need to help our team meet filing deadlines The successful applicant(s) will: Be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills Have computer skills including Microsoft excel (previous experience with tax preparation software is an asset but not required) Possess a high commitment to quality and attention to detail Demonstrate strong time management skills Be flexible and have a positive attitude Have a strong desire to contribute to the team to achieve group goals If this sounds like you, and you'd love the opportunity to work with a group of surprisingly fun people, considering they're all accountants, please submit a resume and cover letter, with attention to Lisa Martin.
