Camfil Power Systems is a leading supplier of air filtration and acoustic treatment systems for gas turbines with its headquarters for the Americas in Laval. Your primary function would consist of the following activities: Review design requirements to clearly define the scope; Using SolidWorks, develop and optimize the 3D models and drawing package that meets project constraints and requirements keeping in mind quality, cost and project timeline; Ensure design meet specification, recognized industry standards and legislation; Optimize design for manufacturing and cost; Find solutions to problems and implement into design and drawings; Participate in design review; Support project engineer, the project and sales team, collaborate with other Camfil's branches depending on the project team setup; Prepare and optimize sales drawing and 3D models according to customer requirements based on concepts or mark-ups provided by sales engineer; Prepare and work with bills of material (BOMs); Create standard / catalog parts for database; Do you have the following requirements? Approximately 3+ years of experience and a willingness to learn; Excellent knowledge of SolidWorks; Good understanding of fabrication processes; Familiar with welding processes and welding symbols on drawings; Experience on industrial sheet metal produce design. Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and practices; Relevant design and drafting experience; Bachelor's in mechanical engineering; Bilingual spoken and written. The Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing and optimizing 3D models and drawing packages using SolidWorks to meet project constraints and industry standards. They will collaborate with project and sales teams to create sales drawings and manage bills of materials for air filtration and acoustic systems.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and approximately 3+ years of experience in industrial sheet metal design. Proficiency in SolidWorks, knowledge of fabrication and welding processes, and bilingualism are required.
