Position Summary Provides administrative support to one or more human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee/labour relations, compensation, benefits, disability management, training, and/or employee records. Play's a crucial part in facilitating communication between employees and management, addressing HR-related inquiries, and supporting HR initiatives to ensure a positive and compliant work environment Location: Oshawa, Ontario Schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday Car and driver's license are required What You Will Do HR Support Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS database (Dayforce). Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, leaves, and terminations. Prepare employment letters and HR documentation. Monitor probationary review dates and other employee milestones. Assist with HR reporting and metrics. Supporting and investigating grievances in a partially unionized environmen Employee Support Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, leaves and company programs. Support leave administration and accommodation processes. Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives. HR Compliance Ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code and company policies. Support workplace investigations. Assist with audits and compliance reporting. Projects Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with policy updates, HR communications and implementation of new programs. What You’ll Bring 1-2 years College diploma; or trade apprenticeship certification Human Resources Management or equivalent CHRP/CPHR (in process) Along With The Following Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills. Exigences
Requires 1-2 years of experience with a college diploma or trade apprenticeship certification in Human Resources Management or equivalent. Candidates should have strong HRIS skills and be in the process of obtaining CHRP/CPHR certification.
