Résumé du poste
Head of Talent & Organizational Effectiveness – Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV) | Responsable de la gestion des talents et de l’efficacité organisationnelle - Corporation de développement des investissements du Canada (CDEV) Toronto, ON, Hybrid Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV) sits at one of the most consequential intersections in Canada today, where public purpose meets private-market discipline, and where complex ideas turn into reality, deployed on a national scale. As the Government of Canada's trusted financial and commercial advisor and active asset manager, CDEV shapes some of the country's most significant economic, strategic and nation-building initiatives. Operating at the speed of business, CDEV combines public-sector purpose with private-sector expertise, providing specialized financial, commercial, and transaction capabilities that help government deliver on complex priorities with agility and confidence. CDEV is building on a strong foundation to further establish something rare in Canada: a modern public institution that combines the purpose of government with the pace, sophistication, and execution excellence of the private sector. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Head, Talent and Organizational Effectiveness will play a pivotal role in shaping that future. Partnering closely with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team, they will help build the leadership capacity, organizational capabilities, and culture that enable CDEV to deliver on an increasingly ambitious national mandate. This is far more than a traditional human resources role; it is an opportunity to shape an organization whose impact extends across the Canadian economy, ensuring CDEV continues to attract, develop, and retain the exceptional talent required to deliver for Canada. The ideal candidate is an accomplished executive and organizational builder with a proven ability to lead through growth, transformation, and increasing complexity. They bring the credibility and judgment to advise CEOs, executive teams, and Boards on leadership, succession, organizational effectiveness, and culture, while ensuring talent strategy remains closely aligned with enterprise priorities. Combining strategic foresight with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach, they have successfully strengthened leadership capacity, enhanced organizational performance, and built cultures where exceptional people can thrive. An influential leader and trusted partner, they are known for their integrity, collaborative style, and ability to inspire confidence, and are energized by the opportunity to help shape an organization with a lasting impact on Canada's future. The role is based in Toronto and bilingualism in both official languages is an asset. This is a publicly advertised job posting for an existing role.
