Our company employs approximately 3,700 people in its operations across Canada. Canada Packers is among North America’s largest producers of Raised Without Antibiotics (“RWA”) pork and a key supplier of RWA and conventional pork products to customers in Canada, the U.S., Japan, China and other international markets. The Canada Packer’s Lethbridge Pork facility is a specialty pork processing plant. We process approximately 1500-1600 pigs per day. This includes everything from receiving the pigs from the farmer to preparing finished products for export. About The Job General production workers at Canada Packer’s Lethbridge facility take on a variety of roles and responsibilities, including, but not limited to: Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout plant. Bagging and/or packaging of meat products. Operate processing machinery and equipment as needed. Inspect products to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area following sanitation and food safety regulations. Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work efficiently to meet daily production quotas and deadlines. Assist with loading/unloading raw materials and finished products. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or product defects to supervisors. Follow company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands May Include Lifting heavy weights repetitively, up to 60lbs. Working in cold conditions. Standing for long periods of time. Repetitive movements of the hands/wrists/arms.
