About This Career Opportunity The DPBO Operations & Indigenous Participation Coordinator supports the successful delivery of operational services subcontracted by Canadian Base Operators (CBO) to Dakota Plains Base Operators (DPBO) under the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program. The position provides coordination and administrative support for operational activities, Indigenous Participation initiatives, reporting, procurement support, governance, and community engagement while assisting in the achievement of contractual obligations and Indigenous Participation commitments. The Coordinator provides operational and administrative support to DPBO and CBO by assisting with the coordination of Indigenous Participation initiatives, reporting, governance activities, and stakeholder engagement. The position works collaboratively with CBO operational teams, DPBO leadership, Indigenous communities, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders within the scope of assigned responsibilities, supporting the delivery of contracted services. What You'll Do Operations Coordination: Support the coordination of operational activities delivered by DPBO under subcontract to CBO, including meeting coordination, action tracking, operational reporting, and administrative support to ensure effective service delivery. Indigenous Participation & Reporting: Coordinate and maintain Indigenous Participation initiatives, including employment, training, procurement, subcontracting, community investment, sponsorship activities, and associated reporting to support contractual commitments and audit requirements. Procurement & Financial Support: Coordinate procurement activities, including requests for quotations, vendor communications, purchase order tracking, equipment deliveries, and invoice reconciliation in collaboration with the CBO Finance team. Administration & Governance: Maintain agreements, governance records, meeting minutes, action items, document control systems, and provide administrative support to the DPBO President and Board of Directors. Human Resources Support: Assist with recruitment, interview coordination, onboarding, personnel documentation, training coordination, and workforce administration to support operational and Indigenous employment initiatives. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Support engagement with Indigenous communities, businesses, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders by coordinating meetings, community initiatives, sponsorships, partnerships, and assigned engagement activities. What You Bring Required Experience: 3 to 5 years in operations/project coordination, procurement, business administration, or Indigenous participation reporting. Experience with Joint Ventures, aviation, construction, or government contracts is considered an asset Education: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Indigenous Governance, Procurement, or a related field (equivalent practical experience will be considered). Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP or financial tracking systems is an asset. Competencies: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive information, and excellent relationship-building skills. Working Environment & Contacts Key Contacts: Interacts regularly with CBO management, DPBO leadership, Indigenous partner representatives, clients, and suppliers. Physical/Environment: Primarily a traditional office setting with frequent computer work; occasional travel to project sites may be required.
