Founded in 1947, Canadian Helicopters is the largest helicopter transportation services provider in Canada. Based from 25 locations across Canada, Canadian Helicopters operates over 100 aircraft in support of a range of multinational companies and government agencies including defense, mineral exploration, forest management, hydro and other utilities, construction, air ambulance and search and rescue. In addition to charter services, company affiliates provide flight training and third-party repair and maintenance services. We currently have an opportunity for a permanent full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice in Halifax. Job Description The Apprentice will be reporting to the Supervisory Base AME, and their duties include: Assist the team in performing aircraft maintenance. Assuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. Organizing and maintaining the hangar and support equipment. Performing related duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Must have graduated from a Transport Canada-Approved Basic training course and have gained at least 18-months credit towards their M-rated AME license. Previous aircraft maintenance experience an asset. (Helicopter maintenance experience preferred). Must be able to obtain Access to Controlled Goods authority and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) for airport airside access. Must have the legal right to work in Canada. (This position is not available for sponsorship). Must be organized and a self-starter. Must be customer focused and be a team player. Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude. Exigences

Candidates must have graduated from a Transport Canada-Approved Basic training course and have at least 18 months of credit toward an M-rated AME license. Must be able to obtain RAIC and Access to Controlled Goods authority and have the legal right to work in Canada.
